Volleyball Passing Drill: Outside the Hip
This drill improves passing angles and control when handling balls outside the body.

Instructions: Partner tosses the ball outside either hip. Beat the ball to the spot by presenting your platform early with arms extended and shoulders angled before contact. Maintain a high chest, deep knee bend, and strong ankle flexion. Focus on creating space outside the hip and finishing with your inside shoulder to target. Progress by alternating your feet, adding shuffle footwork, and passing the ball with a high trajectory to a specific target. Emphasize early angle, balanced posture, and controlled first contact.
Reps: 3–4 sets x 10 reps per phase
