Football Drill for Quarterbacks: Base
This drill improves balance, posture, and controlled movement in a strong throwing base.

Instructions: Begin with feet just outside shoulder width in an athletic stance, toes slightly out and weight balanced. Sit your hips back and down, keeping your knees inside your toes and chest proud with a flat back. Bend through your ankles, knees, and hips, not at the waist. Keep your hands ready and eyes up through your eyebrows. On command, lift your front foot 6 inches while maintaining full balance and body control. Progress by shuffling forward and backward without losing your base. Focus on wide base, low hips, and controlled movement on every rep.
Reps: 3–4 sets x 12–15 reps
