Football Drill for Pass Rushers: Chop Rip

This drill improves pass rush control and technique to clear blockers.

Instructions: Begin in a balanced pass rush stance and attack up field with speed. As you enter the contact zone, use the arm closest to the lineman to execute both the chop and the rip. Aim between the elbow and wrist, chopping down without winding up or exposing your chest. Immediately rip through with the same arm to keep the move tight and explosive. Maintain momentum up field, bend the corner with good body lean, and finish the rush with speed and control.

Reps: 3–4 sets x 5–8 reps
