Softball Drill: Long Hop to 2nd Base
This drill builds strong, accurate long-hop throws from the outfield. Begin at depth and field the ball cleanly out front. After securing it, take two controlled shuffle steps to align your momentum toward the target, then deliver a firm, accurate long hop aimed at the infielder’s chest. Reset quickly and prepare for the next throw.
