Softball Drill: Get Behind the Ball

This drill teaches outfielders to take proper angles and create forward momentum into the throw. Start in an athletic ready position as a fly ball is tossed. Work behind the ball by taking a circling angle that puts you on line with your target, then time your approach so you catch the ball while moving forward. Continue your momentum into a clean transition and throwing position.
