Softball Drill: 5-10-5

This drill improves acceleration, top-end speed, and efficient change-of-direction mechanics used in infield range plays. Begin at the first cone of a three-cone line spaced at 0, 5, and 10 yards. Sprint forward 5 yards, transition smoothly into a controlled backpedal for 10 yards, then explode forward again for the final 5-yard sprint to finish the rep.
